What is Zovirax Cold Sore Cream?

Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is a treatment for cold sores that can be used from the very first itching or tingling symptoms to speed up healing. It’s suitable for all ages, so if a member of your family has an irritating cold sore and needs a treatment that will work on cold sores fast, this could be the perfect remedy. This Zovirax cream comes in a pocket sized tube, making application a breeze, no matter where you are or what you’re doing.

What are cold sores?

Cold sores are small, fluid filled blisters that appear on your lips or around your mouth. When you’re getting a cold sore, you may experience an itching or burning sensation in the area where it’s going to appear. Cold sores will usually clear up by themselves within 10 days, but they’re very contagious, and when you have a cold sore, they can continue to reappear for the rest of your life. This is because cold sores are caused by a virus called herpes simplex, which stays in your skin once you’ve caught it and will sometimes cause cold sores.

How will the Aciclovir in Zovirax Cold Sore Cream treat my cold sores?

The active ingredient in Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is acyclovir, which is an antiviral agent. It keeps the virus that causes cold sores from multiplying, so it won’t get any worse or spread. It can work from the moment the very first symptoms of cold sore appear, helping to keep them under control and letting your skin heal.
